15 They said to her, “You are out of your mind,” but she insisted that it was true. Then they said, “It must be his angel.”

16 Meanwhile, Peter continued to knock, and when they opened the door they saw him and were astounded. 17 He motioned to them with his hand to be silent. After he described to them how the Lord had brought him out of the prison, he said, “Report this to James[a] and the brethren.” Then he left and went to another place.

Peter is said, in words surely carefully weighed, to have gone “to another place”; Acts will not speak of him again.
